Shuttle Bus Service

Timetable

With the tunnels currently closed a free, timetabled replacement shuttle bus service is in operation between 6am and 8pm, seven days a week, to accommodate both pedestrians and cyclists wishing to travel across the river.

The bus has capacity for 24 passengers and 16 bikes and will run approximately every half an hour.

Pick-up / drop-off points are located on the South at Tyne Street, Jarrow and on the North at Tyne View Terrace, Howdon.

Please note: For spatial reasons, we cannot allow passengers with dogs to use the service.
