From 06:00hrs on 17 August the Tyne Pedestrian and Cyclist Tunnels will be closed for six days to allow for essential works to the North and South vertical lifts.
The tunnels will be closed to all users between 17-22 August inclusive and will reopen at 6am on 23 August 2022.
Users are advised to make alternative arrangements throughout this period. A replacement bus service will operate to assist users throughout the six day closure between 6am and 10pm.
