Operational Update: The inclined lifts at the Pedestrian and Cyclist Tunnels will be unavailable at certain times over the next week due to planned maintenance.
Howdon inclined lift will be closed on Friday 21 November, and from Monday 24 to Wednesday 26 November.
Jarrow inclined lift will be closed from Wednesday 26 to Friday 28 November.
The vertical lifts will remain in service, so the tunnels will stay open throughout. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while this work is carried out.
